Professional Experience
Dick Barnard founded Barnard Vogler & Co. in 1969. He has over 50 years of accounting, auditing, consulting and income taxation experience with clients of all sizes in both industry and government. Prior to his retirement, Dick’s areas of practice include planning in corporate, individual, partnership, trust and estate taxation, assistance with purchase and sale of businesses and general business consulting.

Community Involvement
Dick is chairman of Sierra Medical Services Alliance, and former Chairman of the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority and the National Security Forum of northern Nevada. He is a founding member and past president of the Reno Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and the Executives Association of Reno. He has served as chairman of the State of Nevada Board of Equalization and as treasurer of the Community Foundation of Western Nevada. Dick has also served on the Board of Directors of the Nevada Public Education Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He is an emeritus member of the University of Nevada, Reno College of Education Advisory Board and the UNR Foundation.
Education
Dick graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Accounting.

Dick enjoys UNR basketball and football and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
